Medical outreaches were born out of a great need for medical care in the two districts of people we are working with on the Kenyan coast. While doing outreaches, we discover that many individuals are needlessly suffering from curable illnesses. The majority of the people are living in remote villages with no access by road and have to walk for hours to come to one of the medical clinics.
During the medical camp the doctors or clinical officers see the patients then provide them with medicine. Our team members provide prayer because we believe that physicians treat and God heals!! The program is set up in such a way that individuals feel cared for and get to see the love of Christ in action. We serve one area per day for a total of 5 days in 5 different areas.
In the last two years we have served over 3,500 people during our medical outreaches. In one village where we held an outreach, an elderly lady came who had been suffering for a long time with high blood pressure. After receiving medication to last her a month and prayers from the team, she was healed after two weeks! This woman was not a believer but after seeing the goodness of the Lord she gave her heart to the Him!. We have had hundreds of people come to know Christ as a friend through these outreaches. Many of these individuals have joined local churches in their areas.
