Michael and Cicelia Tesh (and Blessing)

Michael is from Winston-Salem in North Carolina.  He joined Ray of Hope six years ago. He met Cecilia four years ago and they were married on July 6th at the Ray of Hope Children’s Center.  Both are involved with the children on a daily basis and lead the Bible Studies in the evenings for the kids.  Cecilia is also a teacher at the pre-school.  They have a two year old daughter named Blessing.

James & Amy Mahaka Abiyu (and Hope)

James was born and raised in Tana River, Kenya. He received his training with National Youth Service before working for various companies in Kenya.  He also did a DTS at YWAM Athi River in 2005 and joined Ray of Hope in 2006.  His role is to maintain the daily operations of the Diani Training Center as it’s being constructed.  He loves music, drama, and evangelism and his new baby, Hope!

Peninah Galgalo

She grew up in lower Tana River and was married to Mr. Guyo who was a teacher.  They had two boys Keith and Maro.  Mr. Guyo passed away several years ago when he was attacked by a wild buffalo.  Peninah joined Ray of Hope in 2006.  Her current role is as a nurse at the Micameni medical clinic.  In years past she was teaching in the pre-school and overseeing hospitality.

Jon & Ruthie Clark

Jon and Ruthie are missionary liaisons between Ray of Hope and Grace Covenant Church in Harrisonburg, VA.  Previous to being married both had years of missions experiences in Africa.  After getting married they’ve moved to Diani, Kenya to predominately help with the formation of the Training Center (as well as other areas of ROH).  Their website is www.kainos.tv.

Jonathan Kisamwa

After graduating from a YWAM media arts school in South Africa, he has moved back to Kenya to help serve Ray of Hope.  Among his many duties are to help his father with the day-to-day duties of ROH and work with Jon Clark on ROH’s communication.  His true passion lies in making high quality videos for business and for ROH.

Ronnie

Ronnie has been the ROH cook at the Children’s Center for over 10 years now.  He is an amazing servent and a GREAT cook.
